Series of photographs on tracing paper, 90 x 200 cm.
Images from property promotion advertisements in Zhengzhou province, China, have been subjected to the effects of time and rain: the run-off of pink-brown ink and rust have transformed the aesthetics (shapes, lines, colour) and rearranged the spaces. Printed on tracing paper, the photographs are reborn with an ambiguous materiality and sensuality. Time and memory intrude on the stripped-down image, and the imagination operates with tension.
