Droséra la tentation du paysage
(2016)Depuis 2014, Droséra # La tentation du paysage est une exposition conçue comme une plate-forme ouverte et inclusive. J’y invite chercheuses et chercheurs, artistes, agriculteurs, tailleurs de pierre, jardiniers, collégiens, boulangers, écrivains, musiciens à travailler ensemble. L’étape du processus, avec l’implication des personnes que je croise sur mon chemin et la mise en évidence de sujets bien précis est fondamentale avant de libérer les formes de l’imaginaire individuel et collectif. La communauté des tourbières de Creuse s’est élargie en 2021 à la communauté lettone avec le projet Free Bog (tourbière libre!) grâce au Prix COAL. Une bourse ADAGP - lauréate de la dotation Recherche 2023 — me permettra d’étendre, je l’espère, mes travaux de peinture dans les tourbières du Nord de l’Angleterre.

Since 2014, Droséra # La tentation du paysage has been an exhibition conceived as an open and inclusive platform. In it, I invite researchers, artists, farmers, stonemasons, gardeners, schoolchildren, bakers, writers and musicians to work together. The process stage, involving the people I meet along the way and highlighting very specific subjects, is fundamental before freeing the forms of the individual and collective imagination.
In 2021, the Creuse peat bog community was extended to the Latvian community with the Free Bog project, thanks to the COAL Prize. An ADAGP grant - winner of the Research 2023 endowment - will enable me to extend, I hope, my painting work to the peat bogs of the North of England. Read more +
LA RIVIÈRE GLACÉE
Des briques industrielles de tourbes irlandaises sont assemblées au sol de manière à former un étrange chemin d’empreintes que les roues d’un tracteur pourraient laisser sur son chemin. Le sentier conduit-il au retour aux origines ? La trace représente-t-elle cette rivière glacée qui charrie les témoignages de l’histoire humaine ?
THE ICE RIVER
Industrial bricks of Irish peat are assembled on the ground to form a strange trail of footprints that the wheels of a tractor might leave in its path. Does the path lead back to our origins? Does the trail represent the icy river that carries the evidence of human history ?

LES GISANTS (TORNÀ)
« En rêvant la profondeur, nous rêvons notre profondeur, en rêvant à la vertu secrète des substances, nous rêvons à notre être secret », Bachelard.
Les tornà — litt : fantôme en occitan — ont été réalisés avec la collaboration des enseignants Frédéric Lagarde, Sophie Noguet, les élèves du Collège Jean Picart Le Doux.
La pénétration de la terre par la pelle s’est accomplie à l’image d’un rite antique de la fertilité permettant de « fouiller » les subconscients. Les sculptures en tourbe de couleur gris noir (proche de la terre mère) au brun roux (vers la surface du sol) traversent les âges. Leur degré d’enfouissement révèle une palette variée de couleur. Les images imprimées sur papier calque se superposent. L’ensemble génère un flux fantomatique.
THE RECUMBENTS (TORNÀ)
The tornà - lit. "ghost" in Occitan - were created with the help of teachers Frédéric Lagarde and Sophie Noguet, and pupils from the Collège Jean Picart Le Doux.
The shovel was used to penetrate the earth in the image of an ancient fertility rite, allowing the subconscious to be "excavated". The peat sculptures, which range in color from grey-black (close to the mother earth) to reddish-brown (towards the surface of the soil), have stood the test of time. Their degree of burial reveals a varied palette of colors. Images printed on tracing paper are superimposed. Together they generate a ghostly flow.
L'INAPERÇU
Les Inaperçus donnent à percevoir des émotions impalpables du paysage, comme une émanation des profondeurs du sol. La série est née de l’observation au microscope du pollen dans la tourbe. Matières et images se confondent.
THE UNNOTICED
Les Inaperçus gives us a glimpse of impalpable emotions in the landscape, like an emanation from the depths of the ground. The series was born of the microscopic observation of pollen in peat. Matter and images merge.

COSMOTROUBLE
Atelier d’écriture au Château de Vassivière - résidence d’artiste du Centre International d’Art et du Paysage, avec la collaboration des enseignants Frédéric Lagarde, Sophie Noguet, les élèves du Collège Jean Picart Le Doux. Jeux de mots intuitifs, analogies et travestissements ont chevauché les sentiers de l’imaginaire collectif.
A cette occasion, est né le mot Cosmotourbe gravé par Pierre Nourrisseau dans du granit creusois.
COSMOTROUBLE
Writing workshop at Château de Vassivière - artist residency of the Centre International d'Art et du Paysage, with teachers Frédéric Lagarde, Sophie Noguet and pupils from Collège Jean Picart Le Doux. Intuitive wordplay, analogies and disguises straddled the paths of the collective imagination. The result was the word Cosmotourbe, engraved by Pierre Nourrisseau in Creusois granite.
