"Julie Navarro's green sculpture, Oeil de Boeuf, takes the unknowing hobbyist by storm. The raised, flowery floor shakes in the middle of the cow feed trough. The petroleum reflections in the stained-glass windows hypnotise the enthusiast, who is invited to taste the exotic marine flavour of oysters and submit to the mistress of ceremonies. Everything remains to be done. ”
François Curlet, 2024,
Piacé le radieux, Bézard - Le Corbusier

The invitation to graze on oyster plants, like the cows in the rack, was seen as a novel experience for human grazers. This small aluminium-tube structure, which gathers animals in the fields around its feeding centre, is used primarily to fatten them up for slaughter. The identification with the animal (feeding close to the ground, the position required for grazing), and the application of licking the plant before swallowing it, combined for some with the awareness of feeding to die, generated unexpected sensations and attitudes, as shown in the performance images.
