WATER WALK is a film made with the participation of a group of residents of the Prissé EHPAD with Alzheimer's disease, pupils from the Prissé elementary school, and physarum polycephalum bacteria.
It's a living embroidery, a work on the notion of landscape and the common body. Like tiny tides, the bacteria move by attraction-retraction, like dreamlike bursts on a relief of alginate body prints. The ramifications unfold in a space that has been decompartmentalized from its frame and duration. Light blurs the boundaries of reality.
WATER WALK is a participatory work about the place of man (especially the elderly), between the memory of water, the memory of the body, and the displacement of the living. The film is inseparable from the medical assessment carried out at the end of the long collaboration, throughout 2018/19, between residents of the EHPAD du Prissé, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, pupils from the Prissé elementary school, as well as bacteria, and the Petite Escalère garden.
A work produced by La Petite Escalère, with the support of DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine, La Fondation Crédit Agricole Pyrénées Gascogne.
