Blue phacelia flowers, 242 meters, Ruynes en Margeride
Biennale Chemin d'art de Saint Flour (curator: Christian Garcelon)
With the collaboration of gardener Yves Rouzaire and Laurent Occelli.
A 242-metre plantation of blue phacelia flowers marks the imaginary line of the 45th parallel, which runs through the town of Ruynes-en-Margeride, equidistant between the North Pole and the Equator. The phacelia line rises like a rope in the air, like a tightrope walker on a tightrope at the center of temperances, balancing climatic and artistic forces. Their nectar is much appreciated by the bees that pollinate the adjoining aerial spaces.
